Group Midterm Presentation

Q Group Mid-Term Presentation (5% of final grade) At this point, your group should select one plastic design as the representative of your group project. The selected plastic part design should be injection moldable, pass the test of moldflow simulation, and meet the geometric constraints (such as size, ejector pin location, thickness, etc.). The purpose for this group mid-term presentation is to help qualify your group design. Therefore your group presentation could include: • Functions or usefulness of your plastic part • 3D model and 2D drawing of your part • Design Adviser Analysis (undercut, draft angle, nominal wall thickness analysis) • Gate location analysis (flow resistance analysis and gating suitability analysis) • Molding Window Analysis • Fill • Cooling Quality • Sink Mark • Fill+Pack • Warp Each group, please submit one Powerpoint file (3%) to Sakai, and your in-class presentation takes 2% of the final grade.
